2. Website information

We do our best to keep all information on this website accurate, clear and up to date. Product details, installation information, availability, finance examples and prices may change from time to time. Images, illustrations and descriptions are provided for guidance only.

3. Quotes and recommendations

Our online quote form is designed to give a fast, practical estimate based on the answers you provide. The final recommendation and price may depend on property access, existing pipework, flue route, gas supply, electrics, controls, condensate route, system condition, hidden defects or any safety issues found before or during work.

If the information provided in the quote form is incomplete or inaccurate, we may need to revise the quote before work begins. Where additional work is required, we will explain this before proceeding wherever reasonably possible.

4. Products, services and availability

Products and services shown on the website are subject to availability. We may substitute or recommend an alternative product where a selected boiler, part, control or accessory is not suitable or available. Any substitution will be discussed before installation or supply.

5. Bookings and access

You are responsible for ensuring that we have safe and reasonable access to the property at the agreed time. Please make sure the work area is clear, pets are kept away from the work area, parking or permit details are provided if needed, and an adult is available to give access and make decisions where required.

If we cannot access the property, or if work cannot continue because the site is unsafe or not ready, we may need to rearrange the visit and charge for wasted time or costs already incurred.

6. Payments, deposits and checkout

Payments may be taken online through WooCommerce checkout and supported payment providers such as Stripe, Klarna or other available gateways. We do not store your full card details on our website.

Some services or installations may require a deposit, payment in full, finance application or agreed payment schedule. Any remaining balance must be paid as agreed, usually before or on completion unless we have confirmed otherwise in writing.

7. Finance and third-party payment providers

Finance, pay-later or monthly payment options may be provided by third-party finance or payment providers. Approval is subject to their own checks, terms, affordability assessment and eligibility criteria. JRR Boilers is not responsible for a third-party provider declining an application or changing their terms.

8. Cancellations and changes

If you need to cancel or rearrange a booking, please contact us as soon as possible. If materials have been ordered, an engineer has been allocated, or work has already started, reasonable costs may be deducted from any refund or charged separately.

For consumer customers, statutory cancellation rights may apply depending on how and when the service was ordered. If you ask us to start urgent work during a cancellation period, you may still need to pay for work completed and materials supplied up to the point of cancellation.

9. Installation and repair work

We will carry out agreed work with reasonable skill and care. Boiler, heating, plumbing and electrical work can reveal hidden issues once existing equipment, pipework, wiring, floors, boxing or fittings are inspected. Examples include poor existing installation, unsafe wiring, gas supply issues, blocked condensate routes, leaks, corrosion, sludge, asbestos risk or structural access problems.

If hidden issues are found, we will explain the issue and any additional cost or change in scope before continuing wherever reasonably possible.

10. Customer responsibilities

You must provide accurate information, confirm property ownership or permission for work, tell us about known faults or hazards, and make sure any required permissions are in place. This includes landlord permission, building management rules, parking rules and access arrangements where relevant.

11. Warranties and manufacturer guarantees

Manufacturer warranties are provided by the product manufacturer and are subject to their registration, servicing and maintenance requirements. Warranty length and coverage can vary by product. Customer misuse, lack of servicing, existing system contamination or third-party interference may affect warranty cover.

12. Waste and old equipment

Where removal of old equipment is included in the agreed work, we will arrange reasonable disposal of removed boiler-related materials. We are not responsible for removing unrelated waste, hazardous materials or items not included in the agreed scope.

13. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. We are not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate information provided by the customer, pre-existing faults, hidden defects, third-party work, manufacturer delays, payment provider issues or events outside our reasonable control.

14. Complaints and aftercare

If something is not right, please contact us as soon as possible so we can review the issue. We aim to resolve problems fairly and practically. Please provide your name, address, booking or order details, photos where useful and a clear description of the concern.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page applies when you use the website, request a quote, place an order or book a service.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be handled by the appropriate courts of Scotland, unless consumer law gives you additional rights elsewhere.
